TERMS OF USE

1. About These Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the KARTR platform ("KARTR", "we", "us", "our"), the hub for grassroots karting, connecting amateur and beginner/intermediate racing drivers with sponsorship opportunities, member discounts, coaching, and community tools.

By registering for or using KARTR, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.

 

 

2. Who Can Use KARTR

Brands and Deals partners must be a registered business or organisation with authority to enter into agreements with KARTR.

KARTR does not permit use by, or accounts for, anyone under the age of 13, in any form.

Drivers must be at least 13 years old. If you are between 13 and 17, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms on your behalf before you create an account. The parent or guardian is responsible for supervising and monitoring the account's use, and must review all content, including KARTR Social posts, before it is posted. By registering a minor's account, the parent or guardian accepts full responsibility for that account's activity.

All users must provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information when registering.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at contact@joinkartr.com if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.

​

You may not create more than one account, impersonate another person or entity, or register on behalf of someone else without their explicit authorisation.

​

4. KARTR Sponsorships

KARTR provides a marketplace where:

  • Drivers create profiles showcasing their racing background, media, and sponsorship goals

  • Brands browse driver profiles and express interest in sponsorship opportunities

  • Both parties negotiate, agree, and formalise sponsorship deals through the KARTR platform

All sponsorship deal communications and agreements must take place on-platform. If drivers are found to be communicating with active sponsors on KARTR outside of the platform, KARTR reserves the right to permanently ban the driver from the platform.

By confirming a deal, both parties authorise KARTR to collect and process payment in accordance with the agreed terms. KARTR uses third-party payment processors to handle transactions securely.

​

KARTR is not a party to the sponsorship agreement itself, we are the facilitating platform. However, all deal terms must be agreed and documented through KARTR's on-platform tools.

5. KARTR Donations

KARTR Donations allow supporters to make a one-off financial contribution directly to a driver, facilitated through KARTR using Stripe as our third-party payment processor. Funds are held and paid out via Stripe; KARTR does not hold donated funds directly.

KARTR retains a 10% platform fee from each donation to cover payment processing and platform operation. The remaining 90% is paid to the driver via Stripe.

Following a donation, KARTR will contact the driver to request the bank details required to process their payout. Where the recipient driver is under the age of 18, payout details must be provided or confirmed by the parent or guardian associated with the driver's account, and no payout will be processed without this.

​

If the driver, or where applicable their parent or guardian, does not respond or provide valid payout details within 30 days of the donation being made, KARTR will refund the full donation amount to the donor.

​

If the name provided by the donor does not match the intended recipient driver's registered profile, KARTR will refund the full donation amount to the donor rather than process the payout, in order to prevent funds being misdirected.

​

Donations are intended to directly support the recipient driver and are non-refundable once paid out to a driver, except as set out in this section. KARTR is not responsible for how a driver chooses to use donations received, and drivers are solely responsible for any tax obligations arising from donations they receive.

6. KARTR Deals

KARTR Deals gives members access to discounts and offers from third-party partner brands. Deals are made available at KARTR's discretion and may be limited to certain membership tiers, including enhanced discounts for KARTR Premium members.

Discount terms, validity periods and eligibility are set by the partner brand offering the deal, not by KARTR. KARTR is not responsible if a partner brand withdraws, amends, or fails to honour a deal, though we will make reasonable efforts to keep listings accurate and remove deals that are no longer valid.

7. KARTR Academy

KARTR Academy connects drivers with independent, Motorsport UK-verified coaches for live online coaching sessions. Coaches are independent providers and are not employees, agents, or representatives of KARTR. "Verified" means the coach has provided evidence of relevant credentials to KARTR; it is not a guarantee of coaching quality or outcome.

Each Academy listing carries its own cancellation and refund policy, which is displayed on the listing prior to booking. By booking a session, you agree to the cancellation and refund terms stated on that listing.

​

Where a driver is under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must be present and visible on the video call for the entire duration of the session. Coaches reserve the right to refuse to begin, or to end, a session if this requirement is not met, and no refund will be owed by KARTR or the coach in that circumstance unless the listing's cancellation policy states otherwise.

KARTR is not liable for the content, advice, or conduct of any coach during a session. Any dispute regarding the quality or delivery of a session should first be raised with the coach directly, and may be escalated to KARTR under section 13 (Dispute Resolution) if unresolved.

8. KARTR Social

KARTR Social is a community forum where members can post, comment and discuss topics related to grassroots karting.

Content posted in KARTR Social is public by default and may be visible to other members, to visitors without an account, and may be indexed by search engines. You should not post anything in KARTR Social that you do not want to be publicly visible.

You are solely responsible for any content you post in KARTR Social. KARTR does not endorse and is not responsible for the accuracy, legality or opinions expressed in content posted by other members.

KARTR reserves the right to moderate, edit, remove or restrict access to any content posted in KARTR Social that we consider, at our sole discretion, to violate these Terms or to be otherwise inappropriate, including but not limited to spam, harassment, discriminatory content, or content unrelated to grassroots karting.

​

For accounts belonging to drivers aged 13 to 17, the parent or guardian responsible for the account must review all KARTR Social content before it is posted, in line with section 2.

9. Sharing of KARTR Social Content

By posting content in KARTR Social, you grant KARTR a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, reproduce and adapt that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the KARTR platform.

​

This includes sharing or repurposing your KARTR Social posts on external channels, including third-party social media platforms such as Instagram or LinkedIn.

​

Where we share or repurpose a KARTR Social post externally, we will always display it alongside your KARTR display name, but we do not guarantee full attribution, formatting or context matching the original post, and we may crop, edit or adapt the content to suit the format of the channel it is shared on.

​

If you delete a post or close your account, we will make reasonable efforts to remove any corresponding content already shared on KARTR's own external channels on request, but cannot guarantee its removal if it has been further shared, saved or reposted by a third party.

10. KARTR Premium and the KARTR Fund

KARTR Premium is a paid membership tier offering enhanced platform benefits, including but not limited to highlighted sponsorship profiles, early access to new sponsors, enhanced KARTR Deals discounts, and entry into the KARTR Fund.

​

KARTR Premium is billed monthly or annually and renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled by you in advance. You can cancel auto-renewal at any time through your account settings; cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period, and no partial refunds are given for unused time within a period.

​

The KARTR Fund is a quarterly merit-based financial award available to KARTR Premium members, assessed against criteria including profile completeness, social media activity, and platform engagement. KARTR determines eligibility, criteria weighting, and the award recipient at its sole discretion, and KARTR's decision is final. The Fund award amount is not fixed and may change between quarters. Membership lapses or cancellations may affect Fund eligibility.

11. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you upload to KARTR, including profile text, photos, videos, KARTR Social posts and comments, and brand assets ("User Content").

​

By uploading User Content, you grant KARTR a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, and reproduce that content solely for the purpose of operating and promoting the KARTR platform (for example, featuring a driver profile in marketing materials). KARTR Social posts are additionally subject to section 9.

​

You confirm that you own or have the rights to any content you upload, and that it does not infringe any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.

​

We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms or that we deem inappropriate, without notice.

​

12. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Provide false, misleading or fraudulent information on your profile or in any deal

  • Provide false or misleading identification information when making or receiving a KARTR Donation

  • Harass, threaten or abuse other users, including coaches and other KARTR Social members

  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose

  • Attempt to circumvent KARTR's commission by taking sponsorship deals off-platform after making contact through KARTR

  • Scrape, copy or redistribute platform content without our permission

  • Upload content that is defamatory, discriminatory, or infringes any third party's rights

  • Post spam, unsolicited promotional content, or content unrelated to grassroots karting in KARTR Social

  • Interfere with the platform's security or technical infrastructure

  • Allow a driver under 18 to attend an Academy session without the required parent or guardian present, as set out in section 7

 

 

13. Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises between a driver and a brand, Deals partner, or Academy coach through KARTR, either party may raise a formal dispute through the platform.

KARTR will act as a neutral mediator and will:

  • Review all relevant on-platform communications and documentation

  • Invite both parties to submit their account of events

  • Issue a recommended resolution within a reasonable timeframe

 

While KARTR will make every effort to reach a fair outcome, our mediation is not legally binding. Either party retains the right to pursue the matter through appropriate legal channels. KARTR's decision on platform-related consequences (such as account suspension) is final.

14. Suspension and Termination

KARTR reserves the right to suspend or permanently remove any user account at our sole discretion, including where we believe a user has violated these Terms, acted fraudulently, or behaved in a way that is harmful to other users or to the platform.

​

You may close your account at any time by contacting us at contact@joinkartr.com. Closing your account does not affect any deals, bookings, or memberships already in progress or any outstanding obligations.

15. KARTR's Liability

KARTR provides the platform on an "as is" basis. While we work hard to keep the platform reliable and available, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that the platform will be error-free.

​

To the fullest extent permitted by law, KARTR is not liable for:

  • The conduct, representations or promises of any driver, brand, Deals partner, or Academy coach on the platform

  • The outcome of any sponsorship deal, whether or not mediated by KARTR

  • The accuracy, validity, or honouring of any KARTR Deals offer by a partner brand

  • The quality, content, or outcome of any KARTR Academy coaching session

  • The content, accuracy or opinions of any post or comment made by users in KARTR Social

  • The accuracy, validity, or ultimate use of any KARTR Donation by the recipient driver

  • Any indirect, consequential or financial losses arising from use of the platform

  • Any loss of data, revenue or opportunity

 

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

 

 

16. Intellectual Property

All KARTR branding, design, software, and platform content (excluding User Content) is owned by or licensed to KARTR. You may not copy, reproduce, or use any of it without our prior written consent.

 

 

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will notify you by email or via the platform. Continued use of KARTR after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

18. Governing Law

Any disputes regarding these Terms will be subject to the laws of England and Wales as a default.
