Got my timings down at Sandown park by a further 10 seconds from my last session a week prior which I’m happy with
Myself, Cookie and Essa went for a travel to Teeside today and its was brill race.
Quali - P14
2nd time I've visited the track with International race track and I started steady to get to grips again. Then Lap 3 is when it all changed. The Track became wet and my first time experiencing wet tracks. I span out twice on track and finally got the rhythm to get a good time but I wasn't the only one causing Yellow flags. When the track dried up, A clear track was drying and I set up ready for a fast laps, Chequered flag arrived, So I had to settle with the poor time and started P14.
Race - P8
As a Heavyweight with a total of 70 minutes experience of the track, I didn't expect wins, but a good position. On the Start, I gained a position and charged off…

Next race is a Public Iron-man at Teeside on the International circuit. Loved this place when I first went, this time I hope not to suffer Rib Bend again
I had another great weekend with GSR at Fulbeck. With it being my first time at this track, I had a lot of catching up to do in order to learn the track and dial in the setup. Due to my performance in the first round, I was able to enter as a non-novice and thus was able to start further forward on the grid. There were also many more drivers this time around which provided an additional challenge. I was able to consistently finish in the top 5 for every heat, which allowed me to start P2 in the final. Unfortunately, I was taken out on the first lap of the final and dropped 20 positions in the process, but luckily there was no damage to the kart and I soldiered on.

A good day at Bayford Meadows but some silly mistakes made me finish lower than I should have down the order. I have high hopes for the Kent cup on August 16th.
Qualifying: P7
Overall, it was a decent qualifying with the gaps being so close but I would have liked to have a couple more positions. just 0.003 seconds separated me from @riley.taylor_44 infront of me and all throughout the field the gaps were even tighter.
Heat 1: P2 (OTR)
An amazing first heat and capitalising on other fighting allowed me to finish P2 on the road but I had a dropped nose so this put me down all the way into P10 for the next heat
Heat 2: P8 (OTR)
What an afternoon it was.
On this July 26th, I headed back to Douvrin to race once again at KLL Loisirs.
It was such a moment with, for the first time in my short racing career, changing conditions.
Used to race on a dry track (sometimes with too hot temperatures), it was the first time I had to face a track where the lines and conditions changed lap after lap. Starting with rain during Qualifying then seeing the track drying to race on a dry track.
The race day showed me I had to work a lot on my driving in wet weather to improve with such hard conditions !
So this Morning, The Blue Flag Bandits and some locals took part in the Race.
I qualified 2nd, but then was promoted to 1st as Cookie wanted a Kart swap before the race.
Another Race ahead as a Heavyweight (92kg with gear) and it was a lot of defensive driving with a quick recovery to get back 2nd.
Honestly Brill race holding back 3 faster drivers and ultimately, between one black flag for one of drivers, and parking the kart where needed, we walked away with a Silver. No PB but happier that I finished where we did.
Its not a 2st place but it was a tough and stressfull race. I learnt alot on Sunday on defending and attacking at the same time.

Today was the 2h Endurance Race by Maraikart at Bucy-le-Long in France.
I raced with my teammate for KIWI SWS Racing, my team.
We had a great Qualifying with a P7/15 claimed by my teammate on his home track.
However, the kart shut down itself after the Le Mans start at the beginning of the race, making us fall 15th and last. We managed to climb back 10th when we got contact and that the kart broke !
We had to pit early and rewrite entirely the strategy.
Shame you had those problems with the kart - that’s so annoying. Well done though.
Might have to try a cooling vest now !
Latest race was at TeamSport race league and wasn’t great. Got put in the wall and then dropped to the back, made a good recovery and gained some positions but overall not the greatest position wise but I came out with the fastest lap of the race so that was a win.
Most of my racing is this weekend and next week with Kartmaster as it was far too hot to be in full kit this weekend 🤣
It's all the small little things that makes the day. Its good to get wins but better to achieve Fastest lap or goals 😀
I'm just screaming at the kart when it's going uphill and it's choking for air 🤣
A picture from FAT Karting League at Round 3 on the 14th June - I scored my first ever competitive point in Round 3 of my first ever competitive season. A weekend I will remember forever, especially as I had never been to that track before!
